As voters countrywide head to the polls on Tuesday for the heated midterm elections, a handful of states will also be deciding whether to pass marijuana legislation that would legalize the drug for medicinal or recreational use.
PITTSBURGH – A Pennsylvania state representative has introduced legislation to legalize marijuana.
The bill, submitted by Rep. Jake Wheatley, would permit the recreational use of cannabis products for adults 21 or older.
The bill would also expunge the records of people jailed on pot-related crimes.
Today July 1st Vermont has become the 9th state to legalize adult use marijuana.
Vermont joins Alaska, California, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington in legalizing the adult possession and use of marijuana.
