All of us at Pandale Rio Farms were devastated to hear that so many of our close friends and colleagues lost their homes and gardens to the terrible wildfires that swept across Northern California in early October. The silver lining in all of this loss and tragedy is being able to witness the coming-together of neighbors and community to offer support and compassion to those who need it most.
While we build the donation features into our website and iron out all the details of our fundraising program, we wanted to provide visitors with a list of other fire-relief fundraisers that are already in operation.
Please Click the image above or visit https://pandaleriofarms.com/wildfire-relief/ for a full list of Charities and Donation Options.
Thank You – Pandale Rio Farms
Ed Rosenthal is a leading cannabis horticulture authority, author, educator, social activist and legalization pioneer.
As one of the co-founders of High Times Magazine, Ed writes the much loved and long-running cannabis column, “Ask Ed.” The column continues to be published internationally.
“Ed Rosenthal’s Marijuana Grower’s Handbook”, has become the definitive marijuana cultivation resource, inspiring millions to learn the best marijuana cultivation techniques. His book is the official course book of Oaksterdam University, and is still the only cannabis horticulture title ever to be reviewed by the New York Times.
Ed is the founder of many successful socially responsible cannabis organizations, including; Quick Trading Publishing, focused on continuously researching and publishing the most accurate, up to date cannabis education, Quantum 9, a marijuana consulting and technology company, Green Aid: The Medical Marijuana Legal Defense and Education Fund, a 501(c)(3), the International Cannabis Business Conference, the Wonders of Cannabis Festival and The Hash Marihuana & Hemp Museum in Amsterdam.
As an internationally known cannabis activist and advocate, Ed views marijuana law as a crucial social issue: one that hit him personally. In 1999, Ed was appointed, “Officer of the City of Oakland”, directed to cultivate cannabis for patients. Three years later, the federal government shut down his city supported facility. Ed was arrested, and put on trial twice for marijuana cultivation in federal court. Ed’s highly publicized trials shifted public opinion in favor of state medical marijuana laws, highlighting for many the fact that marijuana laws have become more harmful to society than the behavior they were intended to regulate.
In a move that marks a major shift in U.S. agriculture and drug policy, House and Senate lawmakers have come to an agreement over the status of industrial hemp in H.R. 2, The Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018. Known as the 2018 Farm Bill, H.R. 2 includes far-reaching provisions that lift the ban on hemp, authorize hemp production and research and amend the Controlled Substances Act. Furthermore, the reconciled version of the Farm Bill paves the way for the federal regulation of hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD) extracts. For hemp CBD consumers, that would mean both better product consistency and quality and an end to the legal ambiguity of hemp CBD.
